No matter what you choose to serve, be sure to include a variety of beautifully displayed finger foods. And of course, tea is the essential ingredient – so be sure to have a selection of teas on hand to please all your guests. With a little planning, you can easily throw together a tea party that will be remembered long after the last crumb has been eaten.
What can a diabetic have with a cup of tea?
A tea party is a classic British tradition, and one that can be enjoyed by everyone – even those with diabetes. While tea parties are typically associated with sweet treats, there are plenty of diabetic-friendly options that can be enjoyed. For example, finger sandwiches made with whole wheat bread and fillings such as avocado or salmon are a perfect option. Or, if you’re looking for something a little sweeter, you could try fresh fruit or low sugar cookies. And of course, no tea party would be complete without a pot of tea. Choose a decaffeinated tea or herbal tea to enjoy with your refreshments. With a little planning, you can enjoy a delicious and festive tea party that’s safe for diabetics. Here are 3 recipes to get you inspired for your next tea party.
