Moms, we all want to feed our kids healthy food, but sometimes it’s hard to get them excited about breakfast. And who can blame them? Most breakfasts consist of either dry cereal or eggs and toast. It doesn’t have to be that way! These seven sweet healthy breakfast recipes make kids jump out of bed in the morning!  Plus, they’ll all taste like dessert! Who wouldn’t want to start their day with a delicious treat? So give one of these recipes a try tomorrow morning – your kids will love you for it!

What’s the healthiest breakfast to have?

The best healthy breakfast keeps you full and energized all morning long.  This includes a combination of lean protein, fiber, and healthy fats.  Combine these macronutrients to stabilize blood sugar.  Now you’re not crashing by 10 am and looking for another caffeine hit.

Healthy breakfast ideas include Greek yogurt with fruit and nuts, avocado toast with egg or peanut butter, and banana smoothie. DishQuo meal planning app has hundreds of breakfast recipes to keep you going all morning.

Is it healthy to have sweets for breakfast?

Yes, in moderation and if the sweetness comes from a natural source.  Refined and processed breakfasts like sugared donuts and cereal are not healthy. Top high fiber oatmeal with walnuts, berries and maple syrup for a sweet healthy breakfast.

Satisfy your sweet tooth with moderate amounts of fruit, maple syrup, honey, and agave. Be sure to include protein and healthy fat, making sure you don’t spike your blood sugar.
