by | Apr 28, 2022

Summer is the perfect time for light and refreshing fruit dessert ideas. These clean eating recipes are delicious enough to satisfy any sweet tooth. Plus, they’re all easy to make! So why not give them a try?

What are some ways you could use fruit as a dessert?

Are you trying to eat clean and live a healthier lifestyle? This includes eating more fruits and vegetables and avoiding processed foods. That doesn’t mean you have to give up dessert altogether. In fact, there are many ways to enjoy healthy fruit desserts.

For example, ripe bananas blended with almond milk create a thick and creamy banana “nice cream.”   Mix diced fruit with yogurt or cottage cheese to create a nutritious parfait. And, of course, fruit can always be enjoyed on its own as a simple and healthy snack.  For people looking to enjoy dessert without sacrificing their health, fruit is perfect.

What goes well with fruits?

For people who are trying to eat clean, fruit desserts are a great choice. But what goes well with fruits? Here are some suggestions:

Nuts: Nuts are a great source of protein and healthy fats, making them a perfect pairing for fruit. Try pairing almonds with sliced apples, or cashews with berries.

Yogurt: Yogurt is a great source of protein.  It also provides probiotics that can help support gut health. For a balanced breakfast or snack, pair fruit with yogurt and a handful of nuts.

Honey: Honey is a natural sweetener that goes well with all kinds of fruit. Try drizzling honey over sliced peaches or dipping strawberries in it for a sweet treat.

What goes well with fruit depends on your personal preferences. So experiment and see what you like best!
